Capacity Analysis · Distribution system

Distribution system analysis, across every utility.

FacilityConnect rolls capacity up through the entire distribution network — electrical, process gas, CHW, exhaust, and beyond. The model surfaces the bottleneck upstream capacity that actually caps each branch, the limiting factors that drove the headroom number, and the correction factors applied at every level of the network.

How the analysis is built

Four inputs. One live distribution model.

The capacity rollup is only as accurate as what feeds it. FacilityConnect ingests tool demand, existing utility infrastructure, fab geometry, and your design intent — then keeps them in sync.

01

Import your tool utility matrix

Bring in the demand side of every tool — kVA, scfm, gpm, exhaust cfm — via spreadsheet import from your tool master list, with live progress on big files. Every demand value lives on a revisioned asset with a full audit trail.

02

Import your current utilities

Bring in the supply side: existing electrical panels, gas headers, CHW loops, exhaust risers and their as-built limits, demand factors, and upstream parents. The distribution tree builds itself, ready for capacity rollup.

03

Detail your fab layouts

Lay out buildings, levels, and grid lines so every demand and every supply point lives at a real coordinate. Distances and location-aware rollups run from this geometry, per scenario.

04

Assign — by hand or by Optimizer

Wire loads to supplies with rule-assisted assignment and live headroom signals — or hand the whole puzzle to the Optimizer, available today as a service, which proposes the balanced network into a scenario for your team to review. Issued revisions file automatically into Autodesk Construction Cloud.
